Shooting for the Karthika-Vijayan starrer Alaiyodu Vilaiyaadu has been taking place for the past few days in Kullachal in Kanyakumari. Recently, they were shooting an action sequence on boats in the open sea. The hero was to save the heroine from the villains. Everyone got set for the take, and just as the director said “Action”, a huge wave splashed against the boat with Karthika, who lost her balance and fell into the deep sea. Just as the actress was thinking, “This is the end”, fishermen came to her rescue. The actress was immediately rushed to a hospital and shooting was halted temporarily.
