Aamir Khan was in Chennai on June 13, 2008 to surprise his director Murugadoss, who celebrated his wedding anniversary on June 13th.
Aamir and Murugadoss have struck up a good friendship and mutual respect while filming for the Hindi Ghajini. When Murugadoss left for Chennai to celebrate this special occasion with his family, Aamir followed him, reached his home on June 13th and surprised him. Murugadoss, pleasantly shocked, was deeply moved by this gesture of this amicable actor, who is always misinterpreted by many.
Murugadoss gave the honour of chief guest to Aamir Khan in a special and private get-together in which only close relative and friends were invited. Aamir Khan returned to Mumbai the same night after attending this function.
