Aamir Khan was full of praise for Southern Spice Asin, who worked with him in the Hindi version of Ghajini. But contrary to the widespread and popular belief that Aamir was the one who recommended Asin for the Hindi version, Aamir disclosed that Asin was director Murugadoss’s choice. The actor praised her acting skills profusely. He said that she is a very professional and talented actor and will definitely become a prominent star in Bollywood. He said that the most surprising thing about her is her Hindi. He never expected her to speak such flawless Hindi, which was without even a tinge of South Indian accent. He also said that the audience would have never found out that she is from South, had they not been told so.
He said that he was able to understand the amount of hard work she had put in to get the language right, given the fact that Hindi is a language rich in words that require aspiration and thick pronunciation which is completely absent in South Indian languages. And to top it, the film was shot in sync sound, but still Asin did a commendable job.
So, it will not be a big surprise if we see Asin in numero uno spot in Bollywood one day just like Hema, Rekha, and Vyjayanthimala.
