Contrary to contradicting reports from mysterious sources that the release of Aasal is postponed, it has been confirmed by Mr. Ramkumar of Sivaji Productions to Galatta.com that the Ajith starrer will hit the screens on schedule on February 5.
The movie, directed by Saran, with music by Bharadwaj, stars Sameera Reddy and Bhavana as the female leads. The cast also includes Prabhu and Yuhi Sethu.
Aasal has several USPs:
>> It brings back the successful trio of Saran-Ajith-Bharadwaj together.
>> It is Sivaji Productions' next release after the super successful Rajinikanth starrer Chandramukhi.
>> This is Thala Ajith's 49th film.
>> Two talented actresses share the screen: Sameera Reddy and Bhavana.
>> The movie boasts of five villains, all talented and breaking away from the cliched bad guy image, they play sophisticated and meaty roles.
>> This is the first time that Ajith's name will appear under story credits for a movie.
