Tulir-Centre for Prevention and Healing of Child Sexual Abuse has brought out 'Tickles and Hugs', an audio book on personal safety for children.
Loveleen Kackar, Joint Secretary to the Union Ministry of women and Child development, launched the book.
This initiative is a Karadi Tales production, jointly supported by ActionAid India.
Actor Revathy who has done the narration in the book remarked that we must pay attention to what the child has to say as they do not speak lies. Shoba Viswanath of Karadi tales explained the care and concern taken into scripting the content for the book.
A Tamil version of the audio book was released on Wednesday at the Corporation Primary School in Koyambedu. The students of Women's Christian College enacted the story. Vidya Reddy of Tulir said that the content has impressed children and they were very receptive to it.
