Actor Parthiban inaugurated an art gallery today which showcases art works of ace painter A.P. Shreethar and marvellous sculptor C. Ravi Kumar.
The theme of the paintings is womanhood. It brings out the versatility in a woman, the myriad roles that she plays. It is a very nice way to celebrate Mother’s Day.
A.P. Shreethar is a very famous artist in Tamil Nadu. His paintings are much sought-after all over India and adorn many famous personalities’ houses and offices. This apart, he has also created breathtaking pieces of commissioned art for corporates like Pfizer, T.I. Cycles and others. He is responsible for bringing in the digital art medium Giclee to India.
C. Ravikumar is a very famous sculptor. He has a wonderful ability to sculpt just about anything that he can lay his hands on – chalk, soap, limestone, etc. He has a workshop in Mamallapuram which attracts clients from all over the world. Once he collaborated with A.P. Shreethar, he also began to incorporate abstractness in his art work.
Actor Parthiban felt very proud to inaugurate this wonderful house of art. He marvelled at the art works of these artists. Parthiban’s facial expressions when he looked at these works were eloquent proof of his admiration.
