Vellitherai, a chronicle about cinema, revolves around the happenings in the industry. There is a string of popular actors appearing in short and sweet cameo roles in the movie. Following Jayam Ravi and Trisha, Sandya also has a small role in Vellitherai. Produced by Moser Baer, Duet Films and Mirchi Movies, the film is based on the Malayalam hit Udhayaanu Thaaram. The film's cast includes Prithviraj, Lakshmi Rai and Gopika. Viji directs Vellitherai.
