Adimai Penn, the blockbuster of the 60s, is being rereleased this week.
Produced by MGR, the movie has him in a dual role, along with Jayalalitha. Adimai Penn is loved for its songs, locales it has been shot in, and the stylish costumes worn by the lead actors. Of the two roles, one has MGR as a hunch-back and there is also a terrific fight sequence that he does with a lion, that got wide admiration.
The movie was directed by K. Shankar and has music by M.S. Viswanathan.
All the previous rereleases such as Nadodi Manan, Ulagam Sutrum Valiban have recieved enthusiastic response from audience. The rereleases have crossed fifty-day runs in theatres. And so producers and distributors are considering it a good business option.
In fact, Adimai Penn's rerelease has been delayed for quite some time because of the legal tussle in acquiring the distribution rights.
Hope that Adimai Penn will be as popular among the audience as the previous releases.
