When Kadhal Kottai hit screens, the love story was the rage of that season. The whole idea of a long-distance relationship between two people, who have not seen each other, was totally radical. The director of the movie was Agathiyan, who immediately got recognition and awards for this unique venture. Subsequently, he made the Gopkulathil Seethai–again a different type of love story. Even though it was not a runaway success like the former, it managed to impress a select audience.
Agathiyan went on to make a few other movies, none of which were as striking as Kadhal Kottai; then nothing much was heard about him. Well, now he’s back, ready to get on with his next love story called Nenjathai Killadhe. Mahendran’s movie with the same name created a deep impression on Agathiyan; hence he decided to give his next movie the same name. Agathiyan promises that Nenjathai Killadhe will also be a unique love story and that if his audience finds the story stale, he will publicly apologise! Wow! That’s great confidence! All the best!
