Aishwarya Rai made all heads turn at Cannes when she walked the red carpet. She was the epitome of grace and epicentre of attraction when she walked hand in hand with her husband Abishek Bachchan.
This is not the first time that Aishwarya is setting Cannes on fire. When Sanjay Leela Bansali’s Devdas was screened at Cannes in 2002, Aishwarya Rai and Shah Rukh Khan had accompanied him. Her entry was majestic. She disembarked from a beautiful horse-ridden chariot like a celestial beauty. Cannes still remembers that moment as though it happened yesterday. It was during this time that she garnered the attention of West as a wonderful Indian actress. It really catapulted Aishwarya Rai’s fame in the West sky high. The offers that ensued from Hollywood thereafter are standing testimonies to this. Thereafter, she became a regular visitor to Cannes.
And we have one more reason to be happy! It is a very prestigious matter that this year, a Tamil film is making its entry into Cannes – Billa (2007 remake). Ajith, Vishnuvardhan, Ananda Pictures Suresh will be in Cannes when their film would be screened.
Now it is “Thala” Ajith’s turn to rock!
