Ellora Movie Club is coming out with Ajantha,a big budget multilingual that is written, directed and produced by Rajba Ravishankar.
The film is to be released in all southern languages including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. Ramana plays the lead in Tamil and is paired with newcomer Vandhana Gupta.
Music for the film is by maestro Ilayaraja who has come out with 9 soulful numbers. The film is, in fact, an Ilayaraja show all the way says director Rajba. The maestro has composed a 'keertana' which is said to be divine. One more notable aspect is that the maestro has sung a duet after a gap of 10 years. The duet, sung by the maestro with Shreya Ghoshal, will whet the appetite of many a Raja sir fan, promises the director.
As to the story, the filmmaker says it is a love story sans love. There is also an item number in the film which features an African beauty and Hindi actress Nikita.
