Ajith-Vijay is undoubtedly the popular duo of Kollywood. Both have great fan-followings who swear by their Thala and Ilayathalapathy.
2007 has been a mixed year for both. Vijay started the year on a high note. His Pongal release Pokkiri was one of the biggest grossers; Ajith's Aalwar could not repeat the Varalaru magic of 2006.
Similarly, as 2007 draws to a close, Ajith's Billa has had the second biggest box-office opening of the year, while Vijay's dual act in the Deepavali release Azhagiya Tamil Magan did not create much impact at the box office.
