It was a great evening on December 23rd, 2008, in Singapore as the brightest stars of Tamil cinema got together for an evening of song, dance and drama. A show organised by the Nadigar Sangam, Radaan Mediaworks and Galatta.com, the Mega Star Nites in Malaysia and Singapore were a celebration of 75 years of Tamil cinema.
Amidst all this glitter was a very special Galatta.com event – the launch of the Galatta.com Star Calendar 2008. It was a very special moment for us when every sparkling star of Tamil cinema got together on the spectacular stage at the Singapore Mega Star Nite and launched this unique calendar, which is a tribute to cinema.
As the Star Nite reached a heady finale, Mr. Sarath Kumar, President of the Artistes’ Association, and Radikaa Sarath Kumar of Radaan Mediaworks got the stars together in a moment of bonhomie and solidarity to announce the launch of the Galatta.com Star Calendar. Each of them all held up a copy of the calendar to the audience and cheered each other and Galatta.com.
Later, many of the stars spent some time going through the calendar and offering their congratulations and compliments.
A special moment indeed.
