Ever since the release of his Paruthiveeran, director Ameer has been basking in glory. But Ameer is not one to sit on his laurels. The director is now busy with his next film Yogi. However, Ameer is not in the director’s chair for this film. He has written the story, screenplay and dialogues. But the big news is that Ameer will now be working in front of the camera this time.
Yes, Ameer is playing the lead role in Yogi. Now, if you are wondering about the film’s title, it is just the name of the film’s hero. Ameer plays Yogeswaran aka Yogi in the film. Hence, the title. Madhumita of Kudaikkul Mazhai fame plays Ameer’s love interest, Shailaja aka Shailu in the film.
The film is directed by Subramaniam Siva, who earlier gave the superhit Thiruda Thirudi and has music by Yuvanshankar Raja. The unit has completed 50 percent of the shooting. The next schedule starts by April.
