Yes. You read it right. The Aruvadai team has approached Big B himself to star in their film. Aruvadai stars Mammootty, Arjun and Sneha in the lead roles. The film is being directed by Aravindhan, who has earlier directed Aravindhan and Agaram.
The film is about the plight of farmers in our society. Mammootty appears as an intelligence officer in this film and Arjun plays a DIG. Sneha appears in the role of a pilot.
The film has an ideal Prime Minister's character, the kind of daring leader people dream of -- foresighted, selfless, brilliant and talented. This is the character for which the unit has approached Amitabh Bachchan.
The film’s producer Henry has met Amitabh and given him the script in English. Big B has reportedly told the producer that he’ll inform his decision after going through the script. Henry is confident that Amitabh will accept the role once he reads the script.
Amitabh had earlier acted in a Kannada film a couple of years back. It was even reported that the Bollywood superstar would act with Rajinikanth in Sivaji. However, that turned out to false. Let’s hope producer Henry is successful in bringing Amitabh to Tamil.
