After touching the shores of Cannes with his acclaimed Veyyil, director Vasantha Balan is all geared up for his next project. Titled Angadi Theru, the film deals with the lives of a host of characters who frequent the streets.
After making Pasupathi the protagonist in his Veyyil, Vasantha Balan is introducing a new face, Magesh, as the hero in this film. The debutant is a state-level volleyball player who was selected from among the thousand that the director screened for the role. The female lead is played by Anjali, who caught the director’s eye with her superb performance in Katradhu Thamizh.
G.V. Prakash Kumar, who made an impressive debut in Veyyil, is the composer for this film too. The film is being produced by Ayngaran International, which is also producing Rajinikanth’s Robot.
Vasantha Balan says that the producers are leaving no stone unturned to make this movie really special and are giving it the same attention that they are devoting to the biggie Robot.
