The celebration to mark Anjaathe’s landmark achievement – completion of 100 days of successful run in theatres (it is still running to packed audience in some theatres in the city) –has been postponed. The reason behind this is the decision to make this function even more grand than originally planned earlier owing to the good reception the film had from audiences. The venue and new date of this function have been finalized; the function will take place in Kamarajar Hall on June 27, 2008.
The VIP guest list, though not yet officially released, gives an inkling that most of the big names of Kollywood will be invited.
Mysskin directed this film which featured Narain, Prasanna, Pandiarajan, and Vijaylakshmi. The film was appreciated by everyone. Mysskin has established himself in Kollywood by two of his films – Chithiram Pesuthadi and Anjaathe. Recently, he garnered accolades for Nandhalala even before it began shooting. The storyline of this film has attracted everyone (it is about a mentally-retarded man and a normal young boy on a journey and their interaction with society). Snigdha, who appeared in the song 'Kattale Kannale' of Anjaathe is the heroine.
