Vikram was in Thiruvananthapuram for three days. He was the chief guest at the Asianet film awards and later took part in the 150th day celebration of Anniyan at Dhanya theatre. Shibu, the distributor of Anniyan in Kerala, said that the film collected Rs. 6 crores . Vikram, speaking on the occasion, thanked his fans for their support and also said he wants to act in a Malayalam film without considering the salary, provided the role interests him, because he has great respect for Malayalam movies and will act if the story and screenplay is good.
Vikram also visited the Sri Chitra Orphanage for Children and spend a lot of time having food with the inmates, posing for photographs, giving autographs and talking to the children.
