It looks like Kollywood is about to see one more girl from the North turn into a super actress down South. Anuya is the heroine of Siva manasula Sakthi which has Jiiva as the hero. She looks very promising and has all the elements and talents needed to become a frontline actress of Kollywood. She is cute and has myriad expressions, glamour and chirpiness, a combination that sits well with the Tamil youth. She is very amicable and a down-to-earth person.
She was born in Dubai, raised in Pune, and is now living in Mumbai. This charming girl was always interested in films; that is the reason she was enrolled in Pune Film Institute, whose alumni include big names such as Naseeruddin Shah. Later, she got an opportunity to act in a movie called Mahe (partly Hindi and partly English), which was exclusively made for film festivals.
She takes her acting very seriously. From the day she signed Siva manasula Sakthi, she started her homework and has done a neat job in the movie. Talking about her co-star Jiiva, she said that he is a very decent and practical actor. She said that she had quite a lot of fun on the sets of the film but had some difficulty with the language barrier. She is in awe of Tamil cinema and its professionalism, which she has not seen in Bollywood.
She signed off saying that she is quite honoured to be working in a film industry that has risen to great heights in the international arena these days.
