Turning to glamour in her second film, Anuya justified her climactic act in Madurai Sambavam. “The script demanded it – the mind game between the cop and a criminal,” says Anuya, flattered by the response it generated among young audiences.
Expectedly, there is a rush of offers for Anuya after that dare-to-bare act. But she is careful not to fall into a trap. “I will not accept any role without looking at the script,” says Anuya.
Of the diversified characters – Anuya played a girl-next door in her debut Siva Manasula Sakthi – Anuya said a newcomer could not have asked for more. “There were enough variety and contrast in both characters. To play a cop in the second movie looked too good to be true but I pulled it off. In the long run, I would like to be known as an artist, game for any role,” said Anuya with cheer and hope.
