Gone are the days when producers spent sleepless night worrying about distributing new films. With the entry of corporate firms into the fray, distribution issues may become a thing of the past. Many corporate firms not only produce films, they also get into the distribution field.
The distribution rights for both Arasangam and Nepali have been snapped up by corporates, even as they are scheduled to release in the second week of April.
While Pyramid Saimira bought the distribution rights of Arasangam, Reliance Company has bagged the rights of Nepali.
The rights of Nepali cost rupees two crores; Arasangam's rate is not known. But Pyramid has paid the money upfront, even before the film’s release. This gesture seems to be in reciprocation of the help given by Vijaykant when the company got into trouble during its nascent stage.
