Arun Vijay’s next film, for which he had been practising “Parkour” assiduously, has been named Malai Malai. Its cast and crew have been announced as well. Malai Malai brings back Pooja, who was busy with several assignments in Sri Lanka and pairs her up with Arun Vijay. A. Venkatesh, who is directing Dhurai (Arjun starrer) and Killadi (Bharath starrer) at present, will write the story and direct this flick. Eminent writer Pattukkottai Prabhakar writes the screenplay while Mani Sharma scores the music.
This film will serve as the perfect comeback vehicle for Arun Vijay, who had entered into a brief hibernation following his last release Thavam. Arun is determined to strike big this time with Malai Malai. He said that stunts will be the main attraction of this film, for which he has been preparing his physique; Arun will also sport a six pack abdomen for this film. He has been in touch with Singapore-based Alex for learning Parkour, in which a participant moves from one point to another all the while jumping over any obstacle (rock, compound wall, etc.) he comes across. Sometimes, they even jump from one building to another if the distance between them is not too large. Arun Vijay plans to incorporate one such action sequence in this film and has been training hard for it. The other stunts of this film, which do not involve Parkour style, will be choreographed by Kanal Kannan and Peter Hain.
