This seems to be the mantra of most married actresses. When Aishwarya was signed for Robot, the project become more exciting, since Rajinikanth had never acted with the former Miss World. And Shankar had reportedly offered her a colossal sum.
But now she has opted out of the film. It is heard that Shankar wanted a two-year call sheet, and the recently-married Aishwarya was not ready for such a commitment. Abhishek and Aishwarya want to start a family soon, and putting it off for two years did not seem very appealing.
Another actress who gave up the chance to share screen space with the Superstar was Simran. She was to do Chandramukhi, but when she realized that she was pregnant, she opted out and the role went Jyotika.
It is not surprising that many actresses opt out of their movie careers after marriage. Some do make a comeback after completing marriage and motherhood, but only a handful have been able to make the transition back as leading ladies!
