The Balam press meet was full of emotions, especially gratitude. Balam, a smart film directed by Muralikrishna with two new faces in the lead – Sun music VJ Arvind Vinod and Mumbai model Deepa Chari – has struck the right note with everyone.
Speaking on the occasion, director Muralikrishna announced that he is very happy with the way things have shaped up. While thanking each and every unit member, he particularly thanked Yugendran and quipped that he was “almost torturing” Yugendran every day to get the music he wanted. He also said the patient music director obliged and cooperated totally.
Following him, Yugendran in his speech the reporters, said he acknowledged the hard work of the unit. He thanked the director and the producer who gave him an opportunity to compose music for this film. He also said that his long-cherished dream of making S.P. Balasubramaniam sing his musical composition came alive through this film. He also said that he worked really hard for this film, composing five songs and the background score. He said that three out of these five songs will surely be chartbusters.
When Arvind came to speak, he made it a point to praise the director’s ability to extract the results he wanted from a newcomer. The same sentiment was given in Deepa Chari’s speech. Deepa Chari, the dusky beauty from Mumbai. was elegantly dressed in a salwar with a plunging neckline and was the attention-grabber at the event.
