There is a new entrant to the list of heroes in Kollywood. What’s special, one might ask? Rishikumar, the debut hero in Iyakkam, is a former cricket player. Spurred by friends who told him that he could make it big in Kollywood, handsome Rishikumar decided to switch careers.
After a stint at modelling, appearing in ads for Polar Fans, Kodak Films and Co-optex, Rishi has now become a hero with Iyakkam. He says that his modelling stint helped him face the camera without any apprehensions. He had also prepared himself for acting by enrolling in the famed Koothupattarai and has learnt dance, fight and acting.
Rishikumar appears as a Collector in his debut film in which he has two female leads, Sujibala and Sruthiraj. He blushes when he reveals that he has duets with one of the girls.
As to his role model, Rishikumar states that he wants to become a Vikram. Surely, a person worth emulating.
