Dasavathaaram (also spelt as Dasavatharam) has not only lived up to the hype it created but it has, in fact, surpassed it. The film has witnessed a never-seen-before opening and is still sustaining the same tempo even after completing almost two weeks in theatres.
Some theatres are running 45 shows during the weekends. In total, it is said that nearly 400 shows are running in the city over weekends. There is a house full board outside theatres on weekends for all shows. If one does not book tickets in advance, then surely he or she will be reading the house full sign at the entrance instead of watching the film.
The business that the film does on weekdays is incredible! Theatre occupancy is anywhere around 90% on weekdays. It looks like Dasavathaaram is making people take leave from their work or study just like IPL did!
