The most-awaited film after Rajinikanth's Sivaji is Kamal Haasan's Dashaavataram.
Besides the fact that Kamal plays ten different roles and Asin has two roles in the film, nothing has been revealed about the roles or the story by any of the unit members.
In a recent press release, a few aspects of the film have been disclosed. For the ten different roles in the film, Kamal Haasan has dubbed in ten different voices, all his own! That is definitely an amazing feat. Asin has dubbed in in a distinct brahmin accent, which will definitely be appreciated. According to sound recordist Sridhar, the entire dubbing phase of the movie was difficult, but the end result is at par with Hollywood standards.
The special effects in the film are by Oscar nominated Brian Jennings. For the action sequences too, stunt men from Hollywood have been hired.
The film also stars famous behind the scenes techinicians like P.Vasu, Rameshkanna and director K.S. Ravikumar himself in pivotal roles.
The film has been shot in Chennai, Chidambaram, Malyasia and USA. The film is almost complete, with just two songs left to be shot. The film will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
The music of the film has been composed by Himesh Reshammiya, his second Kollywood venture after Bharathiraja's Bommalattam. The music of the film is expected to be released this month.
