Films from abroad have always inspired us in terms of technology and story value. Tamil cinema is often compared with the Mecca of films because it 'lifts' its inspiration from Hollywood. The recent trend is to blend mainstream film entertainment with unconventional ingredients which would better fit into the milieu of an art-house production. Young aspiring filmmakers who are passionate about their careers occupy the forefront, the cutting-edge of these 'different' movies. Often they prove their talent in their maiden films without having to stoop to maidens displaying their 'talents' by stooping or disrobing.
