Condemning the killing of innocent Lankan Tamil in the civil war of Lanka, Film Employees' Federation of South India (FEFSI) will go on strike tomorrow in Saligramam. This means that there will not be any film shooting tomorrow in Chennai. Directors Seeman and Ameer will also attend this one-day protest. Director Bharathi Raja has confirmed their participation in the strike.
Both Seeman and Ameer were imprisoned after the government thought their remarks at the Rameshwaram protest were in conflict with the laws of freedom of speech in India, but were released on a bail later with a condition that they will appear in Madurai police station at 10 p.m. every day. They will finish the formality and fly in to Chennai to participate in the strike.
