Superstar Rajinikanth’s much-awaited Kuselan was released with the same fanfare and glamour associated with every movie release of the superstar. The usual Kollywood style rituals, 'Pal Abhishekam', bursting of crackers, and dancing to drumbeats were all there.
The film itself is drawing much appreciation from the fans, although it is without action sequences. The movie, which highlights the beauty of friendship, has gone down very well with the masses.
Rajinikanth is enacting truly versatile roles these days. In Chandramukhi, he played an unconventional psychiatrist while Sivaji was a true Rajni film with action and dialogues. In Kuselan, Rajni plays himself and even without the ingredients of a normal commercial film, he weaves the magic that attract people to his films.
