A beauty with brains, Padmapriya is an actress who has made it big in the film industry riding on sheer talent alone. The actress who debuted in Tamil with Cheran’s Thavamai Thavamirundhu has never looked back.
One look at her credits will tell us the variety of her performances. An ordinary housewife in Thavamai Thavamirundhu, a worker in a garment shop in Pattiyal, a city bred girl in Satham Podaathey, a bold village belle in Mirugam and now a glam babe in Durai, Padmapriya has played each role to perfection winning acclaim from the public and critics.
She is a big name in Malayalam cinema where she has done numerous challenging roles. She has even acted under Adoor Gopalakrishnan who is one of India’s finest directors.
A former risk consultant at GE Financial, Padmapriya is one among the few who have made it big taking a great risk. She is currently doing an independent film with debutant director Janaki targeted at multiplex crowd and also doing an NFDC film. As to mainstream films, she is busy with Arjun’s Durai.
After conquering Kollywood, Padmapriya is now stepping into Bollywood. She is doing the film Striker opposite Siddharth (of Boys fame) which is sure to win her more fans up north.
