Hariharan is working at bringing out his new album, 'Waqt Par Bolna', the latest in the 'Urdu Blues' series.
The album is a blend of Jazz, Rhythm & Blues with Indian classical music in contemporary style. It is sung by musicians from New Orleans, Toronto, London, California and India. Hariharan's sweet and melliflous voice is, quite naturally, part of the group.
Hariharan, who was in Delhi for the promotion of the album, is very enthusiastic about it since it has an assortment of different voices from different backgrounds. Shridhar Subramaniam, Managing Director, SONY BMG India is equally high-spirited as this is said to be one of the bests from the great singer.
Hariharan, with his perfect Urdu diction, is a disciple of Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan in ghazals and also well-trained in Hindustani and Carnatic music.
'Waqt Par Bolna' will be another milestone in his musical career.
