She is making her debut in Indira Vizha. She was christiened Sruthi by the director K. Rajeswar, but now she is going to retain her original name (Hemamalini) as the director has changed his mind.
Though this film is yet to be released, the actress has accepteed her second film. She has been selected by Mirugam director Saami for his next film Sariththiram. She is so excited to beworking with Saami, that she opted for the film even without listening to the script.
