While Dhaam Dhoom is almost done and Santosh Subramaniam is progressing at a healthy pace, Jayam Ravi has already signed on for another movie. Tentatively titled Perannmai, this movie is to be directed by Jananathan who gave us the beautiful Iyarkai.
Perannmai seems a rather quaint title and is bound to raise a few eye-brows in spite of falling well within the non-taxable range. The word draws reference from the Thirukural which talks about a man's chastity. That's new!
Chaste is a word generally associated to the fairer sex. But Valluvar philosophises that a man's chastity rises to a higher platform when he looks at another man's wife and no wrong intentions seep into his mind. Interesting! Wonder how Jananathan has intertwined this concept in his script?
