Jayam Charitable Trust has come up with the very commendable idea of recognizing the unsung heroes who contribute to a film’s success factors – background music and songs. The first awards ceremony from this trust will be held in University of Madras’s Centenary building on May 18, 2008.
In the precursor to the awards ceremony held today, Selvakumar, the organiser spoke to press reporters and briefed them about the awards. Then he unveiled the model of the award trophy and gave it to the guests, actor Karan and playback singer Chinmayee.
The collections from this award ceremony will be forwarded to a welfare fund for children affected by AIDS.
