Juhi Chawla was in Chennai, mesmerizing everyone with her infectious smile. She had come here to cheer her team, Kolkata Knight Riders, who played a match against Chennai Super Kings on 26 April 2008. She was accompanied by her husband, Jai Mehta, one of the owners of Knight Riders (other owners being Juhi and Shah Rukh Khan), and her daughters.
The effervescent and beautiful actress, who is famous for her smile, had lots of nice things to say about Chennai. She said that she loves Chennai more for its people, who are very sportive, well-behaved, and easy to mingle with. She said that she is coming to Chennai after a long time and she thinks that she should visit the city more often.
When asked about Knight Riders’ first defeat in this tournament by Chennai Super Kings, she said that victory and defeat are part and parcel of any sport. She added that her children were a little disappointed with the result of the match.
Shah Rukh Khan was also very eager to come to Chennai for the match, but was held up at an awards function in London.
Juhi will be seen in action in the upcoming Hindi movie Bhootnath along with Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. The film is slated to be released in the first week of May.
