Recently, producer-director-actor Manobala announced that he would remake the yesteryear blockbuster Kadhalikka Neramillai (starring Balaiya, Muthuraman, Ravichandran, Nagesh, Kaanchan, and Rajeshree). He has bought the remake rights from Chitralaya and the original version’s director Sridhar. He immediately decided that Pasupathy will play the role enacted by Muthuraman in the original and announced that he will finalize the rest of the cast pretty soon.
Now he has zeroed in on Prasanna, S.P. Balasubramaniam, Vadivelu and Sneha for the cast of his remake version. He prefers Prasanna in Ravichandran’s role and Sneha in Rajashree’s role. The original version paired up beautiful Kanchana with Muthuraman. But it is not yet sure if the role will be retained in the remake version and if retained, who will essay it. The prominent roles played by Balaiya and Nagesh will be go to S.P. Balasubramaniam and Vadivelu respectively.
This yesteryear blockbuster is one of the several films which stand testimony to Tamil cinema’s excellence. It is a classic! The fact that this hilarious flick has a huge fan following amongst today’s younger generation testifies to its popularity and the high quality of entertainment it offers. There is no doubt its remake will rock again!
