Actor Kamal Haasan has been named brand ambassador of 'Hridaya Ragam 2008'. The project launched by World Malayalee Council (WMC) will provide free heart surgeries for 100 downtrodden children in 2008. This project is organised in association with the Madras Medical Mission and 'Malayala Manorama' group. Kamal was very happy to be associated with the project, which he said is close to his heart.
A musical fund raiser 'Shoba Hridayaragam' will be organised on February 24th 2008. All music directors of Malayalam cinema along with singers of Tamil and Malayalam cinema will take part in this programme. The musical show, inaugurated by Maestro Ilayaraja, will be held at Nehru Indoor Stadium.
