The unit of the Vikram-Shriya starrer Kandasamy was in for a disappointment recently. Kanthasamy is directed by Susi Ganesan (who gave the superhit Thiruttu Payale) and produced by Kalaipuli S. Dhaanu.
The first leg of the shooting had taken place smoothly for 35 continuous days without a hitch. The unit had packed their bags to Kenya to shoot certain crucial scenes in the wild landscapes of Africa.
However, reports of racial riots in the country have led to postponement of the shooting.
According to the director, the unit will shoot the scenes as planned in Kenya when the riots subside. The unit manager is currently in Kenya monitoring the situation and will give the green signal once the situation improves in Kenya.
Following the Kenyan shoot, the unit will leave to Mexico to can the remaining portions.
