Almost 80% of Kanthaswamy’s shooting has been wrapped up. After a hectic month-long shoot in Mexico, the unit flew to Hyderabad and commenced the final schedule. Kanthaswamy, starring Vikram and Shriya Saran, is being shot at Devi Home guest house located in the posh Jubilee Hills area in Hyderabad.
Krishna, Telugu film industry’s definitive super star has a very important role in the film directed by Susi Ganesh and produced by Kalaipuli Thanu under Kalaipuli International production house. The Telugu version, Mallana, is being produced by V Creations.
Vikram and director Sushi Ganeshan met the media in Hyderabad and spoke about their out-of-this-world entertainer. Vikram said, "80% of the shooting has been wrapped up. This is first time an Indian film (Kanthaswamy/ Mallana) was shot on location in Mexico, where we shot two song sequences and a bull fight. We are giving a very stylish treatment, along with a powerful message, to the movie. My role has the feel of an Indian James Bond. Though I appear in many guises, all of them are situational according to the storyline. Very soon, my lady getup will be shot in Hyderabad. Presently, some scenes that involve the heroine’s house are being canned. Apart from the superb stunts, the highlight is Devi Sri Prasad’s music. We plan to release the film in December.”
Director Sushi Ganeshan also seconded Vikram’s opinions and said the film is being produced with an eye to upholding technical values; the highlight of the technical side of the shoot is the balloon lighting, which gives a tangential effect pleasing to the eye.
