Ever since Karan staged his comeback through Kokki, there has been no looking back for him. He has been bagging hero roles non-stop. At present, he has two movies in hand – Malaiyan and Kanagavel Kakka.
Kanagavel Kakka is about a docile youth who becomes a rebel on being pushed to the limits by society. The portrayal of this character has been handled differently, unlike in other films with similar themes. The director is Kavinbala, who has also written the story and screenplay. He has been an assistant to directors Saran and Hari. Saravana R. is producing this film under the banner of Aagarshini Theatres. Music is by Vijay Anthony and lyrics are by Snegan. The female lead is a newcomer, Haripriya. The supporting cast comprises Kalabhavan Mani, Kotta Srinivas Rao, Sampathraj, and Adithya.
In Malaiyan, Karan pairs with Udhayathara again after Thee Nagar. It is directed by debutante Gopi. This film is set in a rural backdrop and is also an action-oriented subject.
Karan is really happy with the way his career is showing an uptrend.
