After the film Thee Nagar which bombed in the box office, actor Karan and Udhayatara comes together in the next film titled Malayan. Another prominent role in the film will be done by debutant Shammu. The film is being directed by S. Gopi who is a former associate of S.A Chandrasekhar.
In the film Karan plays the role of an employee who leads the workers against the misdeeds of the management. Udhayatara plays the lady lead and others in the cast include Sarath Babu, Mayilsamy and Balasingh. Music of the film is scored by Dheena.
Karan who was mainly acting in off-beat films got famous with films like Kokki and Karuppaswamy Kutthaigaitharar which were hits and critically acclaimed. Karan’s natural portrayal of the different roles has earned him much appreciation.
