In the recently-held press meet for Rajathi Raja, comedy actor Karunas made an announcement that caught everyone’s attention. He announced he will build a home for the old and destitute shortly. He has bought 100 acres of land near Dindigul for this purpose. He also added that it has been his longstanding wish to build Asia’s largest home for the aged and needy. Everyone was in awe on hearing the actor’s benevolence and greeted this announcement with loud cheers. When the cheers ended, Raghava Lawrence made an announcement of Rs. 50,000 donation to Karunas’s noble effort, and the cheers rose again. Actor Lawrence did not stop with announcement; he went on to sign a cheque for Rs. 50,000 immediately and handed it over to Karunas, who embraced the humble hero in affection and appreciation.
Director Sakthi Chidambaram said that he is very lucky to be working with such benevolent actors and with this goodwill and energy, they will march into the filming of Rajathi Raja and make it a success.
Karunas is currently acting Dindigul Sarathi as a hero, which is being filmed in Dindigul region.
