Vijay TV has created a niche for itself in presenting mega ‘live’ events with some of the best entertainers in Tamil Film Industry. Beginning with “Netru Indru Naalai 2002 and 2006” and “Unity of Light’ at Chennai, a song-n-dance extravaganza held in 2002-2003 and Shankar Mahadevan’s ‘Tour 9’, continuing with an event at Coimbatore on 18 June 2005, which was very encouraging to the performers, as the Coimbatore audiences are wonderful in cheering for them, enjoying a live harmonious show, yet another show, “Kovai Express’ with talented young singers, was held on 26 February 2006, at HINDUSTAN COLLEGE OF ARTS & SCIENCE, COIMBATORE. This is to be telecast on Vijay TV on 31.3.06 at 7.00 p.m.

Harish Raghavendran, with some of his chartbusters from 7G Rainbow Colony, Bharathi, Autograph, Sivakasi.
Sujatha, one of the leading female singers in Tamil filmdom, who has sung for the films Arindum Ariyamalu, Aathi, Ghajini, Chandramukhi.
Tippu, who has sung in Arul, Aathi, Aaru, Dhool, Chandramukhi, Ghillie.
Rajnith, the singer who has created chartbusters in Thotti Jeyaa, Arindhum Ariyamalum, Raam etc.
Malathi, the singer with a different voice with hits in Thiruda Thirudi, Thirupaachi and others.
Chinmayi, winner of a National award, is a top singer and has sung for New, Kannthil Muthamittal and Boys.
Popular songs such as ‘Kodambakkam area’, ‘Rangola’, ‘Chennai Senthamizh, ‘Kannathil Muthamittal’, ‘Suppose unnai kadhalicha’, ‘Kadhal Vandhal’, ‘Aasai Aasai’, ‘Sakkarai Nilave’, ‘Konjam Neram’, etc., have been sung on the show by the renowned singers on stage. Similarly John Britto’s troupe had performed trendy dance on stage for the latest hit songs.
Apart from this the event featured, 5 top participants from Vijay’s stand-up comedy hunt show ‘Kalakkapovathu Champions’, namely Kovai Guna, Muthu Irulapandi, David, Kovia Ashok and Janakiraman have performed ‘live’ for the audience.
