Everyone is excited about Kuselan. Rajinikanth’s fame has reached beyond the borders of South India, to Bollywood and beyond, with many chat NRI sites arguing about who’s bigger: Big B or Rajni!
Such is the charisma and magic of Rajni’s fame that the normally jittery film fraternity sees nothing wrong in bringing out Kuselan today, the day of the solar eclipse. This celestial event is something that even normally rational people consider an ominous event.
Of course, words fail where Rajinikanth’s performance is concerned! Superstar Rajinikanth in his onscreen avatar as Superstar Ashok Kumar is close to his real-life persona. He has drawn on the myriad experiences in his life to portray an onscreen superstar who accepts his childhood friend with open arms.
Matching up to the Superstar in performance is Pasupathy, in his role as a poor man, uncertain of how his overtures will be taken by his long-lost buddy, who’s none other than the superstar.
Brahamanandam, being a man of many talents, has done a cameo which is absolutely superb.
