Sajeev and Shiny Girish are producing Maharatham for SAAS Movies International. The film’s story and screenplay is by P.K. Baburaj. It is directed by Ashvini Baburaj.
The film, named after Lord Krishna’s chariot, marks the debut of two young artists, Yasmin and Moharjun. It also has Malaysian actors, Ram and Shawn in the cast. Newcomer Yasmin is full of glamour.
The film’s story pivots around three central characters. The hero is engaged to a girl when he leaves for Malaysia. He finds a new love interest there and marries her assuming his fiancée back in India will easily call off their engagement. But to his horror, she waits for him to return and refuses to call off the engagement. What ensues is a melodrama. The film touches upon all the elements of a commercial cinema and is abundant in romance, glamour, and comedy.
The film’s cameraman is V. Sunny; John Peter composes the music; Xavier Paes renders the art work; Vinodh and Lenin choreograph the dance sequences.
