Manirathnam has decided to cast Vikram in the lead role in his next venture. This movie will be shot in Hindi too; in the Hindi version, Abhishek Bachchan is going to play the lead role. Shooting for both versions will be simultaneous. So it is going to be one hectic season for suave director-producer Manirathnam. It has been stated that Aishwarya Rai is going to be the heroine in both versions.
Looks like it is a season of many firsts for actor Vikram. He is going to enact a dual role in an upcoming movie, shooting for which begins in August 2008. He is going to work with K.S. Ravikumar for the first time for this movie in which the heroine may be Nayantara, in which case, it will be his first film with her. If he is paired up against Aishwarya Rai in Manirathnam’s movie, then that will be yet another first for him.
