In an attempt to stop rumour mills from churning out stories about his production Marmayogi, Kamal Haasan announced yesterday that he will come out with the details about the film pretty soon. He said he would shortly announce when the film will be launched and various other details.
Marmayogi will be produced by Kamal Haasan’s Rajkamal Productions and Pyramid Saimira. The aim of these two production companies is to make Marmayogi – to be made in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu – reach the standards that appeal to worldwide audiences. According to a press release by Pyramid Saimira, there are plans to make this film in English too.
A press note released by Kamal Haasan says that most of the news about Marmayogi is wrong. He has also stated that many have misrepresented the business deal between Rajkamal and Pyramid Saimira. Kamal Haasan, in his note, also thanked those media houses which did not publish such rumours or misinformation.
Both Pyramid Saimira and Kamal Haasan reiterate that they have struck a deal which they honour and their decisions are unanimous. And they say that details about the film will be released soon along with a request which reads: Please allow us the decorum of presenting our product in the best light.
Accepting their request, let us wait and see what Kamal Haasan has in store.
