The Audio release for Samy’s Mirugam took place at Four Frames on Saturday. The occasion was presided over by the Retd. CBI Officer Karthikeyan who leads the team probing the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi. He stated that Samy had narrated the story to him and he was greatly impressed with it.
Mirugam has a message to convey to the people – that those with AIDS should not be shunned and that the public should be more aware as to how the disease is spread. Further the movie also talks about treating prisoners humanely. Packaged with such messages, Karthikeyan feels the movie is bound to be received well.
Also present at the event were the movie’s music director duo Sabesh-Murali, the hero Aadhi, Distributor Tirpur Subramianian and starlets Vimala Raman and Sangeetha. While Samy gave the welcome address, the producer AM Karthikeyan delivered the vote of thanks. It was a simple affair, without the usual glamour and glitz, that has now become the trend for movie poojas and audio releases.
