Singakutti is the debut film of Sivaji Junior, grandson of the legendary Sivaji Ganesan and son of Ramkumar. He will be pairing with Gowri Munjal of Thottal Poo Malarum fame. A. Venkatesh is the director and R.D. Rajasekar, the cameraman. Sripriya appears in a cameo role. Music is by Prasanna Sekar. The songs are enjoyable and there is also a remix, 'Aattama Theroettama' included in the album.
'Machi Suthungada' praises its hero. Sung by Karthik and Farhad Bhiwandiwala, the song is a refreshing melody that has used an interesting blend of rhythm. 'Thithikkum Thiyedhu' is a solo by Farhad Bhiwandiwala. His voice displays distinctiveness in both renderings. 'Aattama Theroettama' is a remix of the old hit. The insertion of English lyrics and contemporary music with an increase in the tempo imparts a new feel. Anuradha Sriram has sung the new version. 'Chicago Chickene', based on an intense tune, is sung by Karthik and Shalini Singh. 'Yenda Ratchasa', a lovely melody in Janaki's sweet voice is an excellent addition to the existing youthful set of singers present in today's film music realm. The album has brought new voices to the fore.
